Kim went to the school of hard knocks. Graduated with flying colours from the college of life lessons.  Got through the university of suck it up cuz life is too short - with honours.

She is a certified facilitator of Equine Assisted Learning, and a member of the EAL Network. Kim has also completed her Life Coaching Certification with Transformation Academy.   Her hobbies consist of working with horses, riding horses, training and learning about the power of horses as well as Barrel Racing.

Today she is the owner and operator of Lucky Break Ranch, located outside of Brandon Manitoba within a  short 20 minute drive.   What started as a her childhood dream to be a cowgirl, became her reality and passion as she gets to be with her first true love day in and day out, her horses.   Kim takes her story of life’s hard and unfair lessons to connect with her audience on a personal level, and provides valuable life skill tools to take her audience closer to their dreams. She gives them the same courage, confidence and fire in their belly to start really living their life too.

No matter what life has tossed your way, Kim and her herd of horses have university backed, researched and proven programs that are guaranteed to get results!

It’s time to Cowgirl/Cowboy up, you’ve sat in the dirt long enough licking your wounds!  Take Kim’s hand, pull yourself up, dust off and get back in the saddle. Life is too short to lay in the dirt!

Shotgunning Secrets

We're excited to welcome Katie Jones to the Manitoba Outdoors Show main stage this year to share some tips and tricks on becoming a better shooter!

Katie Jones is a competitive trap shooter, the owner of Katie’s Firearm Safety & Shooting Lessons and is currently on the All American 2nd Ladies Team as well as the High Lady of Canada.

Katie has been Trap Shooting for about 10 years and teaching all over Manitoba for the past five. She teaches Possession Acquisition License (Non-Restricted and Restricted), Hunters Education and Trap Shooting lessons.

After a couple years of competing, Katie realized so many people wanted to learn about firearms and there weren’t many places to go. So, she decided to find a way to help. Whether you want to become a more proficient hunter, shooter, collector or just to learn something new, Katie can give you direction. She looks forward to bringing more people into the shooting community and helping everyone that asks.

"My Father has been a great asset in pushing me to succeeded, teaching me everything he knows, competing by my side and this past summer we built our own Trap Shooting range. Now I will be able to teach theory and live firing on my own property. I hope to see you at the Manitoba Outdoors show and feel free to stop by my booth for a chat!" - Katie Jones
